Obituary for Earl Lee Franks
Earl Lee Franks, age 66, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in his home.
Earl was born on February 20, 1950, in Mishawaka, Indiana the son of Tony Franks and Irene Bilbrey. Earl was a 1968 graduate of Marion High School and a 1970 graduate of Lincoln Tech. He married Donna Sarver on December 7, 1987, and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2011. He worked at Planck’s Auto Parts for 16 years and Georgia Auto Parts for 10 years.
Earl was a member of the American Legion. He loved to go fishing, golfing, to Casinos and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Irene Bilbrey of Roann, Indiana; three sons, Earl W. Franks of Marion, Anthony Franks of Los Angeles, California and Charles Andrew (Sherry) Hines of Gas City; four daughters, Toni Dudley of Gas City, Rhonda (Edward) Watts of Gas City, Traci Franks of Marion and Tammy Hines of Van Buren; two brothers, Don (Kathy) Franks of Linton, Indiana and Jay Bilbrey of Marion; sister, Tammy Rish of Roann, Indiana; grandchildren, Raymond Franks, Ryan Franks, Kyle Franks, Celeste Bosworth, Dakota Dudley, Joe Hines, Serina Parker,Kassie Watts, Savannah Watts, Garrett Mostowski, Mark Franks, Matthew Franks, Josh Hines, Amanda Hunter, Larry Bryant, Jr., Brock Williams, Timothy Thomas,Bailey Franks, and Maisey Moore; 13 great-grandchildren and special friends, Paula Bergue of Marion, Indiana and Edna Franks.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday, October 17, 2016 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Jim Sexton officiating.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday, October 17, 2016 in the funeral home.
Burial will immediately follow the funeral service in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
